how do I know if my child needs Occupational Therapy?

Does your child exhibit difficulty with developmental motor milestones? Is he/she using and age appropriate grasp, manipulate crayons/pencils, and scissors appropriately? Does your child eat (via breast, bottle, spoon/fork, straw) age appropriately? Does your child overreact to transitions, dressing, haircuts/hair wash, nail trims, sounds, food textures age appropriately? If you have concerns or questions about any of the above, call us to learn more about how occupational therapy can help.

how do I know if my child needs speech therapy?

Is your child saying the appropriate number of words for his/her age? Is your child difficult to understand, especially with non-familiar people? You may understand what they say but other family members or teachers may have trouble understanding them. Does your child have difficulty understanding simple instructions? Do they listen, but have difficulty following verbal directions well? Does your child have “bumpy” speech or demonstrate stuttering? If you have concerns about any of the above, we can help.

how do i know if my child needs physical therapy.

Is your child a bit behind with head control, sitting/standing/walking balance? Does your child often appear clumsy or frequently walk on his/her toes? Does your baby only turn his/her head to one side or demonstrate a delay with achievement of motor milestones (rolling, sitting, cruising, walking)? Our skilled physical therapy professionals can help.

how do i know if my child needs feeding therapy?

Does your baby have difficulty latching on or feeding via direct breast feeding or bottle feeding? Has your pediatrician expressed concern about your baby’s weight gain or growth? Is your baby having trouble transitioning to textured food? Have you been told that your child has a tongue/lip tie or has your child recently had one of these released? Does your child have difficulty eating what most kids his/her age eat? Do they gag with introduction of new foods or refuse only but a few preferred foods? Our skilled therapists can help.

Call Line Leader Pediatric Therapy 512-291-2669 and speak with our office manager. We will answer questions you have, learn more about your child’s specific needs, and gather insurance information.

will I get a copy of my child’s evaluation report and updates?

Yes. At Line Leader Pediatric Therapy, we highly value providing thorough and timely information to patient families. You will receive a copy of your child’s initial therapy evaluation report, as well as re-evaluations.

will my health insurance help cover therapy services?

Line Leader Pediatric Therapy accepts all insurances* and is in network with many. Insurance coverage is based on the coverage specifications of your unique insurance plan. We will complete an insurance verification, prior to starting therapy, to help you better understand your insurance coverage.
